We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Game Development Executive to drive strategic initiatives, industry growth, and funding programs across South Australia’s dynamic games industry. This senior position sits within the SAFC’s Production Team and acts as the agency’s foremost expert on game development—working at the intersection of industry strategy, funding, partnerships, and talent development.
As Game Development Executive, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of the SAFC’s digital games funding programs and business initiatives,
- Provide high-level advice to the Head of Production, CEO, and Board on opportunities for industry growth,
- Build strong relationships with studios, developers, publishers, education partners, and industry organisations,
- Drive outcomes for the SAFC’s SA Video Game Development (VGD) Rebate and oversee project assessment, reporting, and milestone management,
- Represent SAFC at local, national, and international events, delegations, and conferences.
- This is a rare opportunity to shape strategy while directly supporting the creative and commercial success of South Australian game developers.
You are a strategic thinker and industry advocate with:
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with a passion for supporting diverse talent pathways,
- Deep experience in the game development sector, including production or studio experience,
- Solid understanding of funding, budget management, and government programs,
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
