Job Description
The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) is the state’s lead agency for screen, dedicated to empowering world-class production and connecting South Australia’s voices, stories, and creative identity with global audiences. As Production Executive (SA-Led), you’ll be at the forefront of driving South Australian-led film, TV and online production. This strategic leadership role focuses on increasing the volume, scale and sustainability of SA-led screen projects by shaping funding outcomes, fostering partnerships, and supporting the next generation of South Australian talent.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Leading a small team and contributing to the strategic direction of SAFC’s production arm,
- Leading development and production funding across SAFC programs and initiatives,
- Building partnerships with local production companies and creatives to unlock new opportunities,
- Supporting sustainable growth in SA-led storytelling, especially by championing underrepresented communities,
- Managing the full lifecycle of grants and incentives including PDV Rebate and Payroll Tax Exemptions,
- Guiding emerging creatives through industry entry points and ensuring long-term pipeline development.
You’ll Bring:
- Strategic mindset and data-informed decision making, with high-level planning and prioritisation skills,
- Deep understanding of the Australian (and ideally global) screen landscape, financing, and production workflows,
- Strong track record managing funding programs, assessing production applications, and driving delivery outcomes,
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with screen creatives, producers and funding bodies,
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion and cultural safety, with a passion for supporting underrepresented voices.
