Program Systems Manager

South Australian Film Corporation Glenside, Adelaide

Published 2nd July 2025

Job Description

The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) is the state’s lead agency for screen, dedicated to empowering world-class production and connecting South Australia’s voices, stories, and creative identity with global audiences. SAFC’s work is grounded in values of diversity, trust, collaboration, creativity and informed action.

We’re seeking a sharp and organised Program Systems Manager – someone who knows how to keep systems humming and processes smooth while supporting an exciting creative industry.

This is an ideal role for someone who’s equally at home with cloud-based systems, grant management tools, spreadsheets, and stakeholder engagement – and who gets a kick out of enabling creative projects through efficient, transparent administration.

As Program Systems Manager, you’ll oversee the backbone of the SAFC’s funding programs – ensuring grant management systems, contracts, workflows, data, and reporting processes run efficiently and meet the needs of both the organisation and the industry it supports.

You’ll also directly support the Production team with operational excellence, while managing one Program Coordinator and acting as a key link between screen applicants, assessors, internal teams, IT vendors, and executive leadership.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

- Managing SAFC’s grant management system, streamlining application-to-acquittal workflows,
- Supporting funding contract administration and internal reporting,
- Ensuring accurate data tracking and compliance with policy and audit requirements,
- Overseeing the production of Board and CEO reports and KPI data,
- Acting as a liaison between IT, the Production team and external system providers,
- Training and supporting staff and assessors on system use,
- Championing continuous improvement, accessibility, and user-centred systems.

Who You Are:

- A systems-savvy project or grants administrator with strong attention to detail,
- Skilled in Excel and cloud-based platforms (experience with CRM or grant systems highly regarded),
- Adept at process improvement and translating business needs into tech-enabled solutions,
- A clear communicator who’s confident working with creatives, government partners, and vendors,
- A team leader who values inclusion, wellbeing, and collaboration,
- Passionate about the screen sector, the arts, or public sector service.

What’s on Offer:

- A meaningful, purpose-driven role in South Australia’s vibrant creative industry,
- Flexible work arrangements post-probation,
- A collaborative workplace committed to diversity, inclusion and innovation,
- The chance to contribute to impactful programs that support screen creators.
